I have an amazing Chinese mum and a crazy adventurous English dad, was raised in Malaysia, Australia, Holland, Germany, the UK and am now living in New York. Friends are convinced my dad was a spy, but mum’s the word on that. I speak German, tolerable French and Dutch, wish I spoke Mandarin, am an avid baker, knitter, writer and a maker of jams. I know which fork to use and don’t chew gum in public. And, I love what I do.
For 15 years I’ve been creating brand campaigns and experiences that delight consumers and deliver results. I care about both sides of the equation: the creative integrity of the work and its effectiveness. Fantastic creative that fails to deliver on the client’s objectives isn’t successful, no matter how much it amuses us to watch it. Or create it. Quite simply, to be truly good it has to work. It has to have value and a human purpose in mind - a purpose that will be loved, embraced and understood. A purpose that compels people to participate and captivates their imaginations, and ultimately transforms their behavior.
When I’m not telling stories for others, I write kids’ books, I’ve had a food truck, a baking company, a jam company and a greeting card company. I make recycled backpacks and am developing a kick ass sugar/gluten free cookie. I’ve ridden across Northern India on horseback to raise money for charity, I volunteer for the NYC Parks Department on horseback and give cooking lessons to my friends. I believe in the power of creating, of community and connectivity and above all, having fun and being proud of what I do and who I do it with.
I bring experience, leadership, imagination, a vat of curiosity, generosity of spirit and great creative, not to mention I bake a mean cake!
